Ever since Elle was born I have been taking a picture of her once a week to watch her grow. It was all working out for me just great until my computer crashed and I lost every photo of Elle up to 4 months, except the photos Tim had which were of her first days at the hospital and my photos on Facebook.  Some of the photos aren’t my exact weekly photos our Elle, but I find some to fill in the 4 month gap of lost photos.

Happy 1/2 Birthday Elle

ELLE has been growing and changing like crazy. She is 6 months today and so full of joy. She has started to smile so much and even started to giggle a little bit. She started rolling over from her back to her tummy right after her 4 month appointment. She now can sit up on her own for a short little time and I have even started to feed her baby cereal which is a work in progress.  But my favorite thing that Ellie does is bounce. She loves to be held up so she can bounce on your lap, which is so dang cute. Another thing that Elle has been doing lately is make a funny noise with her mouth and tongue. I uploaded a video of her having some fun with noises she has discovered she can make.

 * Fun Noises *

For Elle's 6th month birthday we went to In n Out Burger, which is pretty much where we go every Friday night. It's about all we can do with a babe in the fam.

When we came home from In n Out Elle was so happy she was really starting to laugh and giggle for the first time. I uploaded a video of it.

Baby Blessing

Baby Elle had her baby blessing on Sunday January 29th 2012. Grandparents, aunts and uncles all come into San Diego for Elle to see her get blessed. The dress she was wearing was made by Grandma Miller, it was beautiful and I loved it. My goal someday is to make a dress just like it. Her little shoes were made by aunt Annie, so cute.  It was so nice to have everyone here with us for that special special day. Thank you as well to all of those who helped us move, it was a big weekend.

Baby On Bored

11/11/11 Our new addition Elle Cherie Miller was born into the Miller family. This is where all the fun will start. Tim and I went to the hospital at 4:00 in the morning. It was a very weird feeling knowing that you were driving to the hospital with just two of you in the car and when you go back home there will be three. (side note – about a week before I was at my 37th week appointment and Dr. Saffer  informed me that the baby was just not going to grow any more in my belly and would do much better outside the belly with moms milk and such. He then proceeded to look me in the eye with a very serious question, he said, “we would like to do a procedure called an induction to have the baby come early” now at that moment I was thinking he must have missed the memo that I had pretty much begged the nurse practitioner 5 months earlier to have a induction done on me, she said no of course not. See Tim and I were aiming for a special date 11-11-11 and we were very much going to miss that date by two weeks.  So when he asked me that question as if I was going to say no to it. I came back with my answer, a loud Yes! And I would like to do it on Friday the 11th!  He told me they couldn’t schedule inductions on the weekends, but he could schedule it on Thursday the night before and I would most likely get in on Friday morning. I took it! ) Back to the story.  When we got to the hospital it was very quite and no one was around.  We got all checked in as if we were just checking into a hotel room. Everyone was extremely nice to us. Smiling so big as if they were saying in the back of their heads, oh these youngens don’t know what they got themselves in to.  So pretty much they hooked me up to all my baby monitors and I.V. lines and told me there’s nothing to do but wait. Tim and I were having a grand ol’ time smiling at each other and excited to see what came next. Then as if someone flipped a switch it all changed, my pain what from a 1 to a 7 in like 5 minutes.  I was pushing the call button to call the nurse for my epidural. She informed me that since I suggested I might not want the epidural I am now 3rd in line and it would take a little while for the nurse anesthetist to come. By the time the nurse got there I think I was on the verge of blacking out because they kept asking me questions and I couldn’t answer any of them.  Right after I got the epidural she decided to see how dilated I was. I was at about an 8 or a 9 and was ready to push. Long story short little Ellie was born 5 pounds 10 ounces, totally healthy and beautiful. My doctor and especially my nurse were so awesome and amazing. They were just as excited as we were to see baby Ellie for the first time. Elle is the best present we have ever received. We would do it a hundred times over just to have her with us every day.

I LoVe San Diego

Tim applied for a job in San Diego, CA . You can imagine how ecstatic I was when he got the job. I called everyone to tell them the good news mom, dad,  my sisters one of which just moved from San Diego a couple of weeks before we got there L and  I even called my friends in Vegas to tell them I will be living only four hours away from them.

*Keep Portland Weird*

We ended up in Wilsonville, OR (not much there but a skate park.)  It rained a lot...  Went to the Oregon Coast a couple of times..  and that was about it.

I Do

Tim and I were married on June 5th 2010. It was a ridiculously hot day in Oakland, CA and we were never so happy to be together.  I was sure our photographer was so annoyed with us, cause we couldn’t do any serious photos we just kept on smiling at each other.  I’m so happy to be married to Timothy Reed Miller he makes me so happy. He’s a loving, generous and humble guy, I definitely hit the jackpot.

Welcome to our blog!

It’s time to start blogging!  I told myself once the baby is born I really need to start a blog and that was about 5 months ago, well today I will start.  I feel like I need to start from the beginning, a little time line you can call it.
